Why are bees at risk of extinction?

Climate change

Climate change is one of the factors contributing dramatically to the decimation of bees. Weather phenomena (precipitation, temperature changes, pollution) pose a threat to bees.

Intensive agriculture

Intensive agriculture is killing bees. The use of pesticides is aggressively contributing to the disappearance of these tiny pollinators, threatening the life of the entire ecosystem.

Parasites and diseases

The bees' worst enemy is varroosis, the bee disease that currently has the greatest impact on beekeeping and is caused by the Varroa destructor mite. Let's unite and support bees by also protecting them from parasitic diseases.

Why are bees important?

Without the work of our little bees and their pollination process, agricultural crops would be in grave danger! The survival of the entire planet, therefore, depends on their existence. We must not underestimate their importance within the ecosystem: without bees, no human being can survive.

Why are bees dying?

Unfortunately, intensive agriculture kills bees due to the use of pesticides, but this isn't the only reason entire colonies are gradually disappearing! The drastic decline in bee populations, recorded over time, is the result of a series of coexisting factors: climate change, intensive agriculture, loss of natural habitats, and the ever-increasing development of parasites and diseases.

What concrete things do we do to save them?

We sow fields of honey plants, send seeds to be planted, actively reintroduce beehives into nature, and together we build a better future.
